The annual Leeds Reggae Concert celebrates its 21st anniversary on August 26th with one of Jamaica’s biggest stars, Freddie McGregor.
McGregor, whose 40 year career includes hits such as "Big Ship", "Push Comes To Shove", "Just Don't Want To Be Lonely" and "I Was Born A Winner" headlines the event, with a special guest appearance from ‘Mister Lover-Lover’ himself, Shaggy.
Europe’s biggest free reggae event runs from 12pm – 8pm on Sunday, August 26th in Potternewton Park, Chapeltown. The line-up will feature a number of international stars such as Mr Vegas and Wayne Wonder and supported from some of the most exciting reggae acts in Britain (Macca B, Sylvia Tella and Fluxy).
BBC 1Xtra will be broadcasting part of the event live, including performances by Freddie, Wayne Wonder and Shaggy.
